Complete the theory component of your Working at Heights training online, then finish with a practical assessment at a time that suits you.

This is an accredited blended course that delivers a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment in RIIWHS204E – Work Safely at Heights. It is designed for workers in operational roles across construction, maintenance, mining and infrastructure who are required to perform work at heights.

Target audience

This course suits workers in operational roles who are required to work at heights as part of their job. It is relevant across industries where work is performed from ladders, elevated platforms, scaffolding, rooftops or other structures above ground level.

It is well suited to both workers new to working at heights requirements and those whose Statement of Attainment has expired and need to renew their competency.

Course delivery

This is a blended course. You complete the theory component online across two parts at your own pace, then attend a face-to-face practical assessment with a qualified trainer.

How it works:

  1. Complete the Part 1 online learning modules (approximately 3 hours, self-paced)
  2. Complete the Part 2 online learning modules (approximately 3 hours, self-paced)
  3. Complete the online self-marked quiz
  4. Attend a face-to-face practical assessment with a qualified Link Resources trainer
  5. Once competency is confirmed, your Statement of Attainment is issued (valid for 3 years)

Completing Working at Heights training is an important step for anyone who works above ground level. Once completed, you may wish to continue with:

  • Inspect Fall Protective Equipment: Understand how to correctly inspect, maintain and store the harnesses, lanyards and anchor points you use on the job
  • Work Safely Near Live Electrical Apparatus (UETDREL006): Relevant for workers in civil and infrastructure industries where overhead powerlines or live electrical assets may be present at height
  • Work Health and Safety qualifications: For those pursuing formal credentials in workplace safety
